Check-ups
On June 16, 2011 I took all 3 girlies to the doctor. It was Lexyn and Brittyn's 3 year check-up and Kinlynn's 4 month check-up. It was a sad day for all 3 becuase they all needed shots. At this appointment I decided, for me, it is harder emotionally to watch my 3 year olds get shots than my 4 month old. At 4 months it hurts but they don't usually put up a big fight and they can be soothed to calmness a lot faster not understanding what just happened. For Lexyn and Brittyn they knew what a shot was and that it would hurt them, and they put up a HUGE fight. I had to hold Lexyn down and yet she still managed to sit up enough to grab the needle and jurk it while they were giving it to her. It broke my heart.
Because they are 3 now their check-ups involve different things and different ways of doing stuff. This was the first appointment that they had their blood pressure taken, and got measured for heigth by standing on the floor against the ruler. I can't believe they are 3!

The nurse taking Brittyn's blood pressure while Lexyn asked a million questions to make sure it didn't hurt when her time came.

Brittyn

Lexyn's turn, and for this she was a big girl with no tears.

Lexyn:
weight: 25 pounds and 8 ounce in the 5%
Length: 36 inches in the 24%
Blood pressure: 104/62
Brittyn:
weight: 24 pounds and 2 ounces in the less than 5%
Length: 35 inches in the 8%
Blood pressure: 102/68
Kinlynn:
weight: 12 pounds and 9.3 ounces in the 26%
Lenght: 24 inches in the 40%
Head: 16 and 1/2 inches in the 76%

July 4th!!!
July 4th was a lot of fun for us, as it is every year. We have a tradition to get together at our house with my bestfriend of 15 years and grill out. After dark we all head out to our driveway and shoot fireworks with all the neighbors in our corner. For the past 4 years all the guys have put on a show. Everyone buys a Black Mamba and they line up and shoot them at the same time so we have about a 30 minute firework show without the huge crowd. We always have a blast, and this year was no different.

My girls decked out in their red, white and blue outfits that their Neno and Papaw bought them to match.

My big 3 year olds

Amy and I would have never guess 15 years ago that we would have 6 girls between us! Our dream was to be pregnant together but she got ahead start on me so we didn't think it would happen. However while I was pregnant with Lexyn and Brittyn she got a surprise!

Summer
We have had a fun filled busy summer so far.

May 28, 2011 We met some friends from Alabama at the Memphis Zoo

Larry and Kelly brought the girls birthday present over that night. It was a nice playhouse for the back yard.

Lexyn inside her playhouse.

June 7th the girls tried their first watermelon and LOVED it. They ate a whole forth each of a seedless watermelon.

Cars 2
On Saturday July 2nd we took the girls to their first movie at the theater. Ben thought it would be fun. I kept saying "they don't sit through a movie at home but if you really want to." Well.... he won but I was right! It might have helped a little if they were interested in Cars. They have never seen the first one or really paid any attention to anything about Cars. I think daddy just really wanted to see it! After they finished their popcorn we fought them off and on until we finally left after 45 minutes into the movie. They screamed and cried when we made them leave but I am sure everyone else in the theater was glad to see us go. They weren't terrible but they didn't want to sit down, which was fine if they would just stand in our area but no Brittyn kept complaining she needed to go potty. We took her 2 times in 45 minutes. It was an experience for sure but we will be waiting several more months before we attempt it again.

Father's Day craft
For Father's Day we made Ben a stepping stone. We got together with some friends from church and had a playdate making stepping stones for all the daddy's and playing in water. The girls enjoyed playing in the concrete and sticking tiles in it to decorate for daddy.
In the process of making
3 Years old!
On June 2, 2011 Lexyn and Brittyn turned 3 years old. Daddy took the day off work and Gamma watched Kinlynn so we were able to have a special day.
We started out by giving them their make-up/dress-up table we got them. It was and still is a big hit. Then we went to eat pizza at Larry's Pizza. It was so good and the girls ate 2 pieces each, plus a dessert piece. After playing a few games at the arcade we left with full tummies and headed to a church in Little Rock that has a 2 story play place they open to the public during the week. It has lots of tunnels and slides to climb on. The girls had a blast and played for 2 hours.
