Why I can't turn my back!

I walked out of the room for a minute to help Lexyn find her other shoe. I could hear Brittyn calling from the living room "momma, stroller stuck." I went back in the living room to see what exactly she meant by her stroller is stuck, and find that not only did she somehow get it stuck upside down on the baby gate, but she was climbing in it to have a seat while it hung in mid air!

These little monkey's are some major dare-devils!
sorry for bad quality pics but they were taken with my phone because my camera was on the other side of the gate that Brittyn was sitting on!

Snuggles in a Full Size!

Well, for one night they shared the full size bed and went to sleep! It did take several spankings and putting them back in bed before they fell asleep, but that isn't uncommon even when they are in separate beds. They do like to sleep together, or at least start out that way, but they either play around and won't go to sleep or end up getting irritated at each other for stealing the other's blanket or "quack-quack". We are slowly working on this transition into sharing one full size bed. S-L-O-W-L-Y!

17 weeks

How Far Along: 17 Weeks

Size of baby: 6-7 ounces, 7.1 inches long, the size of a turnip

Weight Gain: 3 pounds, didn't gain any weight since my last appointment 3 weeks ago but my belly sure doesn't look that way!

Maternity Clothes: not yet, still having trouble putting them on this early in the pregnancy! However, I did go buy a few shirts and 2 pair of Gap Maternity jeans tonight.

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: some, mainly just pressure with a few flutters here and there

What I miss: having energy!

Sleep: no problem, I fall asleep as soon as I lay down no matter what time of day or night it is! Still in the extreme exhaustion stage

Symptoms: Still lots of nausea and throwing up, exhausted, and daily headaches

It's a.......

another girl!

Yes we found out Monday that we are having another baby girl.

The doctor said "if it's a boy, he is hiding it well!" We never got a complete split leg view but other views led us to know it is a girl.

This ultrasound the doctor measured everything, and everything looks good and healthy. He even got a great view of the right hand and we were able to count all 5 fingers! However his ultrasound machine, in office, is probably as old as I am so it printed horrible pictures that won't scan clear at all!

With the measurements he gave me my new confirmed due date of February 22, 2011. The baby measured 16 weeks and 6 days. He said with a c-section I will of course be scheduled earlier.

Grilling Out

Sunday, September 5th we went to Lake Winona about 45 minutes away and grilled out with friends. It is one of our favorite places to go when the air starts getting cool. It is pretty and very quiet and peaceful. The only noises you really hear are the sounds of nature and 4-wheelers every now and then. The lake is a public water supply reservoir so you can't swim in it. The park that we grill out at is by the overflow spillway so it is all fenced in with no water access at all. It was nice for the girls because they could run and play in the large field, but they didn't understand why they couldn't "fwim". We had a good time and enjoyed several hours of the nice fall temps that came in for the weekend!

Lexyn swinging, notice the dirty face. She really enjoyed her BBQ chicken. She also enjoyed spilling her red koolaid all over her shirt which is why she is wearing a too small pajama shirt that was in the back of the car!

Brittyn swinging, she also enjoyed her BBQ chicken, and digging in the dirt.

The 3 buddies swinging; Macee, Brittyn, and Lexyn

I didn't think it would be long before she would attempt to climb the fence.

She made it to the top. I wasn't far behind because I was a nervous wreck. The drop off on the other side of the fence was about 20 feet to the water.

She thinks she is big stuff, holding on with one hand

Sissy had to get her turn in too!

Holding tightly onto their hands as we crossed over the walking bridge. The poles were too far apart and I knew my dare-devil girls would attempt to climb through. Oh it makes my stomach flip just thinking about it.

We had a great time, and can't wait for more fall weather to come so we can go again.

Snuggling Sisters

This past weekend we decided to move the spare full size bed into the girls room. My idea is to have them sleep together in the full size bed, and convert one of the toddler beds back into a crib and move it into the baby's room. There was some fun playing in the full size "big" bed until we turned on their sound machine and tucked them in. Then Lexyn started crying, and quickly grabbed her blankie and "hee-haw" and "quack-quack" (yes we have to have all 3 of those in our bed every night!) and ran back to the toddler bed. For the time being until we get them trained there is still one toddler bed in their room along with the full size bed. We didn't force her to sleep in the full size bed we just left her in the toddler bed knowing she will eventually get comfortable and switch. Brittyn, however, stayed in the big bed or so we thought. When we walked in to check on them before going to bed, this is what we found. They haven't shared a bed since they were little, and instead of being excited to share a big bed together they wanted to share the toddler bed! It is very sweet, but does make it hard to be consistent on the stay in your bed rule!

16 weeks

How Far Along: 16 weeks

Weight Gain/Loss: Gained about 3 pounds

Maternity Clothes: not yet, I am having trouble pulling them out this early in the pregnancy so for a few more weeks I will squeeze into my normal clothes and just be uncomfortable!

Gender: If baby cooperates we will find out on Monday

Movement: I have felt some flutters and pressure movements but not any real kicking yet

Sleeping: great, I am still in the always exhausted stage so I take a nap with the girls everyday, and go to bed about 9 and sleep thru the night unless I wake up sick then I am up for an hour or so. Although I do get up once or twice to go to the bathroom (yes that has already started).

What I Miss: feeling good and having energy to play with my girls full time

Cravings: don't really have any consistent cravings, just depends on the day however it is usually something salty which is very rare for me!

Symptoms: Still very tired, and very sick with lots of headaches
