OB Appointment

Yesterday was a good day because we got to see our sweet miracle baby on ultrasound. As soon as the doctor picked up the baby he/she was looking straight at us. It always gives me a neat feeling when I see a sonogram of the growing miracle God has placed inside of me. However the first thing the doctor realized is that the baby was too small to be 15 weeks. He did a quick head measurement and it measured 13 weeks and 4 days, so after showing us that the heart was beating he said we are going to postpone the ultrasound for 3 more weeks. At that time he will measure the baby and check for everything to be growing good; then hopefully the baby will cooperate and we can find out the sex.

I know that 13 weeks and 4 days isn't correct but really we will never get an exact because the baby could be measuring bigger or smaller than should be. 13 weeks and 4 days goes back to May 21st, and that is the day we started the 3-day Potty Training with the girls, and I know for a fact I wasn't on my period. I am pretty sure it was at least 1 week before possibly almost 2. But on September 13th when we go for our next ultrasound, we know the baby will be at least 16 weeks so we should be good to go!

The doctor said he is giving me an estimated due date of February 26. But he said he will confirm that up after doing all the measurements on the next ultrasound. Plus I will be a scheduled c-section so I am guessing mid February.

1st Pregnancy Pictures

I have hesitated on doing this first pregnancy picture post because I really don't know exactly how far along I am. We are estimating about 15 weeks. I go to the doctor on Monday for an ultrasound and at that time we will know a due date.
The second reason I have hesitated on doing this post is because I am HUGE! I can't believe how big my baby belly is at only 15 weeks with only 1 baby!!! At this point I have only gained 4 pounds and that is all weight that I lost right before getting pregnant. I am still very sick; nauseated all day but really bad from about 3:00pm until I go to bed. I am sure my girls are wondering where their mommy went because a lot of my days are spent laying on the couch watching them play. They have caught on to mommy is sick, and they say it every time I get up and run to the bathroom. Poor smart girls!
July 25 9 weeks and 5 days

August 4 11 weeks and 1 day
My new doctor does ultrasounds at 15 weeks and said as long as the baby is cooperating we will be able to find out what we are having. I am trying not to get too excited because it just doesn't seem right to me! It still seems too early, and I think I am still in shock that I am pregnant! But maybe I will be back early next week to announce the sex!
****Edited**** Found out at my appointment on August 23rd, that the baby is only measuring 13 weeks and 4 days. I know that is incorrect because that goes back to May 21st and that is the day we began the 3 - Day Potty Training and I do know that I had my period at least a week before that, but I am just assuming I am actually a week more and that the baby is going to be small. Therefore it makes me 9-10 weeks pregnant in the first picture and 12-13 weeks in the second picture.

Brittyn's Pony-tail

Sunday I was playing with Brittyn's hair when I realized it has has gotten really long, so I decided to give it a try at a pony-tail. After pulling it all up and putting in a bow, she took one look at herself in the mirror and had to march her little self in and show her daddy her "petty hair". It was so sweet and cute. I love my girls, and I LOVE that they think so highly of their daddy. She was so proud of her pretty pony-tail that she even posed for some pics.

Do you think....

we might read "Brown Bear Brown Bear" a LOT?!?!?!

She has the words a little messed up but for the main part she knows how the book is suppose to go. She is getting too big!!! Where has my babies gone?

Swimming like Fish

A few weeks ago we went swimming at an inground pool with a diving board. The girls swam and jumped off the side just like they were at home in our above ground pool. They amaze us at how well they are doing to only be 2 years old. Just give them some floates, and there is no holding them back. They LOVE the water.

Then they decided to show us just how brave they really are, and jump off the diving board!

We have been having a great time spending our 105 degree days splashing away like little fishies!
