Thursday night we had some bad weather. There were several severe thunderstorms with tornadoes that were headed right for Haskell. We seem to be right in the alley for tornadoes. In the past, Ben and I have gone into my parents house when there have been possible tornadoes and gathered in their basement. Now that we have babies, storms and tornadoes seem to be a little bit bigger deal to me. I am now responsible for little lives; there is also no way that we could load up in the car and leave the house to head in town to my parents within 2 minutes. We would probably be getting in the car at the same time it was hitting our area! So Thursday night when our new weather radio went off saying a tornado was headed right for us we woke the girls up at 10:20 pm, and gathered in the bathtub in the middle of the house. We had lots of blankets and pillows to make our 30 minute sit a little more comfy. The girls did really well to be woken up real late and put in their bathtub with no water. They actually had a little confused look on their faces for a few minutes as they tried to figure out why we were sitting in the bathtub with clothes on and no water. They were really funny to watch. Thank God the tornadoes passed over us. We did have 2 episodes of hail come through with the severe thunderstorms. But luckily we have not found any damage to our house or Ben's truck.
Here we all are gathered in the bathtub while daddy ran back and forth from the TV.

Here the girls are trying to figure out what exactly is going on! ( I am sure they thought mommy and daddy were being crazy! )

Glad ya'll are safe and sound! Praise the Lord for that! I bet the girls were really confused! ;)
We live in a manufactured home, so we head over to my parents. We all live on the same farm, so they are very close.
We had hail here and a tornado fairly close yesterday.
Blessings always!
Scary! I can't imagie living someplace with such severe weather. We are so spoiled in Socal.
