Our Halloween fun lasted all weekend. Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year, the surrounding towns decided to trick-or-treat on Saturday night but our little community kept trick-or-treating on Sunday night. Saturday after I was finally discharged from the hospital, we headed in town to Neno and Papaw's house, Ben's parents, to trick-or-treat with lots of friends around their neighborhood and have our annual family Halloween party. It was lots of fun, and the Brittyn had a blast. Lexyn on the other hand headed back to the party with daddy instead of trick-or-treating after she screamed the entire time at the 2 houses she visited. She was deathly scared of everyone else's costume. At the party we roasted hot dogs, made s'mores and enjoyed some apple cider around the fire. The kids had fun playing and running around and eating TONS of candy! Thank goodness my girls aren't affected by sugar.

My precious kitty cats!

All the kiddos anxiously awaiting to head out trick-or-treating!
Sunday night we decided to give it another shot of trick-or-treating with Lexyn by just hitting up a few houses around our neighborhood. She started out the same way, needing to be carried, screaming every time she saw someone wearing something scary or a mask, and not wanting to get any candy. Brittyn on the other hand, walked the entire time, carried her own bucket, and kept saying "I want more" after leaving a house. Finally about half way through daddy talked Lexyn into walking up to a house with sissy because no one else was around. From there she did much better and continued to walk as long as we hid her from seeing the scary costumes.

Ready to leave our house and get candy

After every house, Brittyn had to put her bucket down and dig in it to find the candy that was just dropped in. She would dig and dig and then pick it up and say "I find it." We were laughing so hard because it was literally at EVERY house.

Lexyn finally deciding trick-or-treating isn't so bad.

sweet kitty cat sissy's!

Finally we made it home! And the girls just couldn't wait to eat a sucker.
It was a fun weekend and the girls loved their kitty cat costumes. Hopefully next year miss Lexyn won't be so deathly scared of everyone else!
