This past weekend we took a mini vacation to Branson for 3 days. It was nice to get away and enjoy time as a family and with Larry and Kelly who met us up there. We stayed at a hotel that had an indoor pool so we could swim with the girls. They were scared when we got in and wouldn't do anything but fuss and scream as long as they were in the water. There was about 10 other teenagers in there that were splashing and making loud noises so I think they scared my girls. Lexyn and Brittyn did however enjoy walking around and stomping in the water that was on the floor. We did some shopping on Saturday while it was raining and storming off and on; then Sunday we went to Silver Dollar City. It was the girls first time to be at an amusement park. There wasn't really a whole lot they could ride, actually only 3 rides total, but they still enjoyed sitting with Kelly and watching for mommy and daddy on the bigger roller coasters. Lexyn was terrified of the rides except for the train. She would scream and clinch tight onto my shirt as soon as we got in line, so she only rode the train where all of us rode together. The train ride was a fun 20 minute ride through the park and woods. In the woods the train came to a stop and we watched a skit put on by some train robbers. One of the robbers came to the open window where Brittyn was leaning out, and she gave him five. Most of the time that child has NO fear. They were both so tired the entire time we were there but would find some energy now and then and get excited about things. We had a great time, and can't wait to go back when the girls are 36 inches tall so they can ride more rides!

Mommy and Brittyn, I did get her in for a few seconds by showing her how to splash her feat and get Kelly wet.

me and my very tired girls. Notice Brittyn putting her lips to her arm. When she is tired she soothes herself by puckering her lips and touching them to her arm or a soft blanket. Silly girl!f

Isn't it fun to get "away" for the weekend? We took the kids to the beach for the first time this weekend and they had a BLAST. I'm looking forward to spending many more weekends down there this summer. Love the cuties in their bathing suits too!!!
