"Hairpane" Show!

The girls love to see hairpanes, aka airplanes. They can spot them in the sky even when they are just a spec. They will say, "you hear it, momma? Hear the hairpanes?" Saturday we took them to the Jacksonville Air Force base to see the Air Show. After sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour and 45 minutes on the base just to park we finally got out to see the airplanes. By this time it was 1:00, nap time, and 92 degrees outside. We were all hungry, hot, and tired! But we had waited so long we were going to make the best of it.

We saw lots of stunt planes; about 400 paratroopers jumping from planes; and the jet engine truck.

We walked through several big military planes. The girls were a little uneasy about it at first but once we got inside, they thought it was neat and lots of fun.

Cheeeeese Lexyn!
We had a good time but didn't last too long. These 90 degree temperatures in October are not enjoyable!
